What's love? What's lust? If the meaning of both of these words is not completely understood, then they can mistakenly have the same meaning. Lust lurks around every corner, nookie, and cranny. It subconsciously creeps into our minds through the things we see on social media, watch on t.v., and read.Often times we take the feelings, senses, and emotions that lust manifest and we swear up and down that it is love. I'm guilty of it myself. Lusting can occur inside and outside of a relationship. But when it occurs within the realm of a romantic relationship it can be hard to decipher what is pure and authentic love and the liquor of lust. In any relationship there will be a little bit of lust, which is normal, but when it takes the wheel in your relationship you can then venture into some unfamiliar and emotionally dangerous territory.
Lust can blind your sight to the things that don't appear to look right between you and your partner. it can cause you to become deaf to the warnings that your friends and family keep telling you. It can have you thinking with your body and not with your mind. It's kind of like a drug. Initially it feels good, but coming off is hell and you start to see everything from a different perspective. Sometimes lust will be so strong that you will stay in relationships with people that are obviously not good for you, but lust keeps calling your name to stay. Eventually the lust becomes stale and what you thought was love was lust in disguise. So what happens when the lust settles? You'll find that lust is a short spark, but love is a long-lasting flame.
